RE: Brake squeaking
Did you have the rotors turned before the new pads were put on? If not that could be why. Remember squeeling, or high frequncy brake noice isn't typically indicative of lack of stopping power or anything. I've been looking hard for the mimum rotor thickness. You know, befoe you have to buy new ones and use the old ones as clay pigeons on a skeet shooting range. If you can't grind the old ones cause of lack of proper tools or you think they might be a little thin or warped, I'd just get new rotors myself. HTH

RE: Brake squeaking
My brakes squeak a little too, usually when I first apply them, and or use them gently in traffic. It's quite annoying.

Have you cleaned them? I often find that once I cleaned off the brake dust, the squealing disappeared for a while.

Take a flash light and look at your brake pads to make sure you still have some surface left.
If your pads are still good they make a greese you apply on the back side of the pads that reduces brake squealing.

RE: Brake squeaking
If you replaced your brakes yourself then this should be cake. Also, did you bed your brake pads in correctly?

Your calipers are misaligned. its a very common problem that is easily fixible with a 13mm box wrench

RE: Brake squeaking
I'm with Jestnomen on this. If the pads weren't bedded properly, then you'll most likely have squealing at low speed braking.

What does "bedding" brake pads mean?
