Hey guys,

I'm another one of those people who know absolutely nothing about modding cars. I have a 98 2.8 a6. I have had it for about 5 years. The fact that it has absolutely no power is really getting to me.

From the research I have done, it seems as though the best Mod ( with respect to value and price) would be a cool intake system. Is this correct? If so, can anyone lead me in the right direction as to where I can find once that fits my model? I saw none on ebay, did a fw google searches and found nothing yet.

What about a performance chip? Is that a better buy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Jay

giac for your car will give you 6-9 hp gain... Not worth it. Think about an exhaust???

Not to many good Mods for the 2.8, hard to squeeze the extra power out unless your running boost. But exhaust is your best bet, more expensive than the intake but you get better gains and you get the increased auditory experience. (it sounds good)

You will get a better throttle reponse w/ the intake though. I've got the lltek intake for the 2.8 and i like it. The reponse is better, and the sound is great too, throatier intake sound.
