Default Gas Smell after gas tank replacement

Hi,

I am new to the forum and I am hoping someone can steer me in the right direction with my A6 avant. There was a gas leak with my 3.0 2002 A6 so the dealer replaced the gas tank under warranty. They said there was a crack on the top of the gas tank and it had to be replaced. Now since I picked it up from the dealer a strong gas smell is present in the cabin making me nousius [IMG][/IMG]and unable to drive the car with the windows open. I checked the carpets to see if there was saturation anywhere but I am unable to pin point the source. Has anyone heard of this problem before? Could it be a bad installation and the fumes are entering the cabin somehow. I do not even feel driving it to the dealer but I will have to call first thing tommorrow morning.

Has anyone heard of this problem before? Thank god my lease expires in 3 months.

Regards
