Default A6 Ignition switch replacement help!

Help! I need to replace my '96 A6 ignition switch again! When the accessories did not work last year I checked the recall. I have the correct model and year, but not the correct VIN! [:@] I argued with Audi but to no avail. I paid the dealer over $300 to fix it 15 months ago and now it does not work again. Dealer and Audi both are sticking to the 12 month warranty. Now I am unemployed and need the car to look for work. It seems that the switch itself is $30-$50 and an hour labor. Can anyone assist me in how to remove it? I don't have Bentley manuals either. Thanks in advance. I'll try to return the favor any way I can!
