Default 2005 A6 driver seat causes back ache

I want to enjoy my brand new A6 to the fullest, but it's hard when the driver seat gives me a back ache (shoulders and back). It's hard to believe my old Pontiac Bonneville's seat has superior comfort over my new A6's driver seat. I've tried an assortment of cushions, etc., but still have the problem. WHAT CAN I DO to make this work for me?
