thermoswitch / thermostat????
 

Hey folks, Newbie to site and hope you can help!
Son just bought a 1992 Audi 100.
Having overheating problem.
Checked fan --does operate
The question pretains to thermo switch located on thermostat housing and connector on bottom of thermostat housing.
When checking thermoswitch should I have continuity when Hot between the two pins??
What is the connector below housing?
four wires in connector --two are broken but do not know which one goes where???

help
wires are yellow/black to #1 pin

yellow/green to #4 pin

black/blue ??????


blue/yellow ?????

Actually fan switch is on the radiator and it responsable for fans. my car also overheating due to the clocked radiator. :(

Where on radiator is the fan switch loctaed?:)

on the pasenger side of radiator. its just above exit for coolant. it has 3 wires on it.
