Hi,

I have a 2001 a6 2.7t, First off i'm pretty sure that its fitted with the bose sytem as the sound quality is amazing (mind you my last car had a shitty stero with 2 crackly speakers, so i think the none bose sytem would sound good to me) any way back to the question how can i tell for definate that it is bose? If it helps the HU is a Symphony II with 6 dics changer in the dash.

I aslo want to replace this HU with the audi navigation plus RNS-e, will this work with my car. The only reason I ask is beacuse it mentions MMI, here is the unit im think of buying:

As you can probably tell i've not much experience with audi stuff, but i'm quite good with electronics, would you recommend me having this fitted for me or is it something i could do myself?

Last thing i've been told that the phone isn't wired up as it should be, can anyone point me in the direction of some wiring diagrams for both phone kits and the sat nav unit.

Thanks for all your help.

Charlie

pop a speaker cover off, my speakers say bose right on them.

also check your radio manual.

well i didnt get a manual with the car for the stero so i will have to pop a cover off. Do they just come off with the help of a flat screwdriver?

If you turn the stereo off and then power it back on the display should say bose for a few seconds

is there a wire connected? all audis come pre wired for all sterio options.

you just may not have the bose system.
