Default Where is my CD changer cable? 99 A6

Hey there, I just bought my 1999 A6 yesterday... it's great!!! BUT, it has the concert stereo, but no cd changer in the trunk. So I'm getting one. I read on here that it should be pre-wired for it. Where does it come out in the trunk if it is there?
Thanks!! This looks like a great forum!

Not sure if they are the same, but in my 2002 there is a compartment on the left side of the trunk that houses a cd changer "bracket, which is where the cable runs to.

Yes, that is where the changer goes, but I don't seem to have a cable there for it. Does the cable come from the top, bottom, front or back of that compartment?

Thanks! I'll rip into it tonight and try and find it in there (crosses fingers and toes).

Found it!
It is indeed there in the back, but it was covered with a small foam tube. That's how I missed it. It has the 13 pin round connector. Now off to Ebay for a changer...

don't waste your time with the OEM CD changer. Just get the Phatbox....and forget about audio CD's. Once you have your entire music collection on tap via the phatbox...you will understand why.

See my link below for more details....

Yes, I saw that, but my job is recording/mixing/mastering music, and I need to hear it in the car too as it will be in other's cars. I could just mp3 it and put it on the Phatbox, but why go to all the trouble when I already have the cd made?
I also looked at an ipod hookup for my ipod, but same deal, I would need to transfer files (and delete them after a fresh mix)...
