Default 2001 A6 2.7T suspension

Hey all, I have a 2001 2.7T without the sport package and i want a firmer ride. I've driven a 98 A4 2.8 and i like the tightness in that suspension setup. What do i need to get to make my A6's suspension feel tighter. I'm considering H&R sport springs and bilstein shocks, but I'm beginning to think that might be too much or too souped up or something. I'm not looking to be able to race my car, i'm just looking to make it a more enjoyable driving experience. Also, is there anything i can do (besides getting wider wheels) to tighten up the steering wheel response? Any advice is helpful, thanks.

Default I have the same car: 2001 2.7T non-sport...

I have the same car, 2001 2.7T non-sport. I first upgraded the rear sway bar with the Audi PSK sawy bar. Beefier sway bar meant better cornering, on/off-ramps much better, but the car still seemed to float on the highway, and had that SUV look with the wheel gap. I put on Bilstein Sport shocks and H&R sport springs. Dropped the front 1.25" and the rear 1", now the car looks and drives much better. A bit harsh on bumpy side streets, but tight on the open road.

You can see pics of my car on Audiworld.com, just search for Boston Driver.

Default RE: I have the same car: 2001 2.7T non-sport...

Hi there,
Im new to this forum, and just picked up a 2001 A6 2.7T.
I am looking to upgrade the suspension, very similar to your setup.
Would you happen to have any websites or locations where you picked up your supsension/sway bar from?

So basically I would need 4 bilsteins, 2 H&R springs and the sway bar for the rear... right?

Thanks in advance for your help!
