Default Problem w/ onboard computer

I am interested in buying a 2001 S4, but the onboard computer does not display correctly. Is there an easy fix, or will I need to get a new part?
Please help i'm new

this is a very common problem. in fact if you find a b5 audi without a display problem you will be very lucky. and the only fix is to relpplace the whole cluster. sucks i know.
