I may be dumb, but what does the b5 or b6 mean when talking about the Audi A4?

It's the "internal" designation for the differing model years. All Auto companies use them. Generally, with Audi (and many, many other companys, too), the higher the # associated with a designation, the newer the model...

Little clarification.

In Europe the B5 started in 95.

There is a 2005 B6 model as well as a 2005 B7 model, which people call a 2005.5.
