Default MOTOR SWAP!

alroht, i have heard of swapping the 2.3 5 cyl out of my 1991 80 quattro for the 100 qt or 200 qt qauttro turbo motor. it looks like the same 2.3 5 that i have now w/ a dif intake manifold and some other odds and ends. also is it swap the motor, hook it up, and plug in the turbo ecm and ur ready to go, i found a motor w/ 100,000 on it from a 200 qt,(2.3, 5cyl turbo) for like 350 at the junk year the car was rolled. any suggestions? i want more power!

yes its possible to swap the 2.3T for the 2.3 N/A.. this is very common in the Audi 4000 CS.. and a damn good idea!! because you have one hell of an engine in one light ass car!!!

as for the junk yard.. try to get the whole car for 400 as is.. they will most likely go for it.. and you will have all the extra stuff you need, ie computer mounts, plumbing.. wheels extra tranny.. etc etc.. etc.. if that doesnt work, I would highly suggest buying a used one with high miles for cheap. Then you can pull the engine and do a rebuild and upgrade!!
