I was getting out of my car this morning and my door handle (interior) became really loose. It still opens the door fine but it won't retract inot the normal position after you let it go. I'm going to take the door apart when I go home for Thanksgiving, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to fix it. Thanks.

yup me too drivers side ... it happened like 4 months ago ... just been pushing it off cause i dont wanna deal with paying for a new handle im scared it will be expensive .. haha u konw German engineering, but if either of u two fix it let me know how or what u did or how much it was ... k thx
it's a common problem. you might be able to fix it by taking it apart, it could just be a spring that needs to be reseated. if something is broken, you can buy replacement handles at ecstuning.com for 40-50 bucks.
i have the same prob on my drivers side door interior handle, but it just feels loose. it operates fine, so i leave it as is, not a big problem to worry about as long as it functions, does not obstruct driving, and does not make any rattle noises...im a cool and happy camper!!!
its a common problem.. anyways, if you opt to buy a replacement for your door handle, just go to a reliable dealer that won't charge you with lots of bucks.
Yeah it happened on my old door skins... seems like an easy enough fix though. But yeah, the spring bites the bullet, I guess. I never looked into fixing it, because I got new door skins with my S4 seats.
do you have to pull the door panel to get the handle out?
the nice plastic piece that has the tweeter and the handle and door lock on my door is loose and won't stick to the door
is it supposed to be glued? or are there plastic clips that might be broken?
im tempted to pull it but fear it might break, don't have the manual yet
