This is more of a curious question, because i dont have the money at the moment. I hate the sound of just about every custom exhaust ive heard. However, i know a friend of my girlfriends family, and he works at/half owns a custom exhaust shop. he said 200 bucks if i bring my own muffler (cuz i hate the sounds). I was then thinking that if i got that Borla rear setup from AWE, and had him fab up the rest of the pipework, i would save a good chunk of money. I dont really care if the exhuast is stainless under the car, all you really see is the tips anyway. My 2 concerns are that (i think) the borla has a dual muffler design, so that makes it more difficult. is it posibly to just buy another single borla muffler? I could probably find some1 with this exhaust locally and have him copy the design of it. Concern 2 is that Borla uses a 2.25 pipe. however, this is perfectly mandrel bent system. If this guy doesnt make real clean bends, and only uses 2.25 pipe, then i have a more restricted flow. If i have him use 2.5, it then would cause a backup at the muffler due to its 2.25 inlet.

if anyone makes sense of my rambling, let me know your thoughts. Basically, i want the sound and size, but i dont wanna spend the money. Being 20 sucks lol

mandrel bens will not make any more horsepower gains what they do is allow the exhaust to be a little louder. 2.25" is a good size to work with. on my exhasut system which i custom built i use two glasspacks one 48" long glass pack and a 36" long glass pack. this allows for a super duper free flowing exhaust system that is quite enough for daily driving yet loud enough for the turbo to whine like crazy.
