probably 250-300 in parts, and 800-1000 in labor at the dealer.

I recently went in for a routine oil change and the service guy was kind enough to remind me that at 60000 the car should get a tune up, which entails replacing the timing belt and also some 'pump'. I guess in order to get at the belt they have to remove this 'pump' and they've experience problems in the past that have told them to just replace it with a new one vs. putting the old one back (I know it's an odd story). To answer your question though, to get everything done they recommended, it was gonna cost $1400.00

I just replaced my timing belt at 98,000 miles. I didn't do it through a dealer but a guy who works on import cars and it ended costing $465. He replaced the timing belt ($75), another belt ($65), fuses for the cig lighters, and he even found the CD changer 8-pin plug in the trunk for my cd changer that I couldn't find. His labor was $60/per hour, was about an 4 hour job or so. I heard you should get your timing belt replaces every 90,000ish miles. 60,000 seems a bit too early. Unless something is already wrong with it.

I believe he replaced the tensioner rollors too. Not the water pump. He did a maintaince check on what needed to be done with the car and pretty much everything was in very good condition.
