Hi to all of you!

I just bought Audi 100 '93 2.8 and wanting to change the oil in transmission.

Can someone suggest what oil to use and if there is anything else I need to do with oil change.

I used to change the oil on other cars and i would like to know if there any special tool i need use to do this on Audi.

Transmission seems OK however i can feel gear change from 3-4 bit differently from others. It seems to hold a bit and then goes in fourth (it doesn't jerk).

Any suggestions, thoughts are much appreciated.

car has travelled 117,000 km

Dan.

buy from dealer transs oil and filter, there is no tool to fill ip the trany ,you have ea tube on the side of the engine with dip stick.unless someone upgrated the car with the new transs wich is used in a6 1995 and up there you need a tool to fill it up but i doubt it.

Me too, Im going to change the oil too. as much as I have read people prefer RedLine oil. I'm going to change filter and oil. so in my case its a filter and 1 galon of oil.

dude nice info, you can also use print screen function, and then paste into the paint and safe as JPG or GIF. way better that using camera.
I'm going to change my oils in about 1K miles thats total of 3K miles on engine oil. I'll do them together. If many people willing we can do a bulk order. on redline oils. and filters.

yes I did buy the software and have may books by them "its not cheap" it also has a yearly subscription also not cheap, its not something you would buy for just doing Audi's it covers all makes of car and essentially used in business that works on them all
