What issues exist with the audi 100 series? Looking at Audi 100 2.0 SE, not been able to find a CS !
I know they arent safe by modern standards due to no airbags etc
Any info on the model would be a help !
Looking at older shape saloon around 90'/91'

car is big, you hit it, probably you will feel nothing. and unless you are locking at old car, style 5000/4000 and like 200 I would sugest look after that era, way nicer and look like A6 wich is nice.

The only advantage that a 90/91 will have over the later models, is in the fuel injection. The older CIS is a lot more reliable since it is mostly mechanical and easy to service. The later models use Bosch H-Jetronic or H-Motronic. The Bosch H systems work well but if you have a no start condition it could be very intimidating. However the H system gives you much more room if you wish to do performance mods.

I just bought a 1994 Audi 100 CS. There do not seem to be many "CS" around, and I do not know what the CS stands for or has. Mine is Auto, Sunroof, heated leather. A great sedan on the HW, OK around town. Seats four easily. So far I love it. It has 125K, I just did the timing belt and other major maintenace.

Two weeks ago I bought a 1993 Audi 100 CS Quattro. Its a V6 automatic. It is loaded very nicely. It rides very smooth but the car is big and heavy. It has 160K miles on it and I have to do major maintenance and some repair.
