I just bought a 02 A6 3.0. The power steering pump groans until it warms up. I have sucked out the power steering reservoir and refilled with Audi fluid. This makes some improvement for a while then the groan comes back. Should I reseal the pump or just replace it? Can I get parts from somewhere other than the dealer? Thanks in advance. Tim.

I seem to have the problem and no answer. Let me know if you'll find a fix for that.

No not fixed yet. I think this weekend I will be removing the return line from the reservoir and plugging the reservoir and pumping the old fluid out and replacing with new fluid. I will let you know how it goes. Tim
