Default 1988 90 Suspension Rebuild

1988 Audi 90, purchased it for 600 dollars. High amount of miles. It's become the new project. Needless to say the suspension obviously needs replacement. I'm scraping the OEM and going with intrax lowring springs, bilstein struts. I need new control arm busings and strut mount bushings, and rubber strut mount. Is there any other bushing that I should replace as well? Does the intrax lowering springs work well with the bilstein struts. Do I need to purchase a spring tension tool to put in the springs or can I just put them in and tighten them down? Any help would be apreciated. Its going to be assembled in a week or so when I get back from traveling for work.

Default RE: 1988 90 Suspension Rebuild

hey there happen to have the same exact vehicle which I purchased 10yrs ago with 90k miles on it now it has 215k miles on it it also has an 2bennett Audimotive coilover kit not too difficult WITH THE RIGHT TOOLS !! That being a strut spring compressor of high quality and great deal of patience also would be an excellent time to replace lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends! You'll also have to have access to an arbor press to remove and install you control arm bushings also a propane torch and some PB Blaster if you encounter any severe rusted in bushings!! GOOD LUCK!!
