well ye, its easier to me to distinguish that way. the B4 only had V6 as gasolin and I4 as diesel. The S4 got the 5cyl engine with turbo. B4 got 4 speed auto tranny while B3 had 3 speed tranny.
ahh, the B4 is a bit wider. The bumper is diferent, though I like the B3 and S2 bumper. and ye a lot more.
However its easier to consider them as one model not two, that way if you buy one it easier to folow the model. I think the 80 is a B3 model in europe stayes while the 90 is a B4 model in europe, the B3 got buity treatment in europe, however staued the B3. Corect me if i'm wrong.
the european models still had the 80's and 90's. the only difference is the b3's came with the 20v whereas in north america we didn't. there's but thats besides the point i was trying to make. i have a chance to buy an 88 90 audi with a mint body and interior but the motor has died at 430km's..lol..
now i love the style of the b3's much more more than the b4's, am i able to switch bumpers without any mods, and if there are mods to be done, what exactly must be done to fit them on.

you can always go to a scrap yard and get I5 or I4 cheap even with a turbo. and if it diferent style engine then you just put stand Alone EFI and you done.
