Default Purchasing on the other side of the pond..??

My roommates dad recently took a trip across the pond and bought a 5 series bimmer for cheaper and ended up tearing around for about a week, then brought it back with him to the states. Net costs, I think saved about $6k or $7k!!

I'm wondering if anyone else here has tried something like that or heard of anyone else doing that. The reason I ask is because I will be in Italy in May and June and that idea crossed my mind. Does anyone know who I could talk to? Audi's home site isn't terribly helpful when you can't read the language!![&:]

did he give you any details on his purchase? Like how he got in contact with the dealer?

I'm entertaining the idea of bringing back B6 S4 at the moment. And, yes, I realize they will have the B7 when I get over there, but there's just one small problem...IT"S FREAKIN EXPENSIVE!!! Not to mention the exchange rate on the euro sucks!!

If he's anything like my buddies, you're screwed. They never follow through in anything unless I nag the crap out of 'em
