01 A6 4.2 exhaust tip mod

Does anybody have info on this mod....I like the look of the 02 rear with chrome tips.

PM me if you find anything or post it. I would like to do the same thing but not sure how to begin. Not sure why they ever kept them tucked away. It's the only thing I don't like about my car.
