Default Roadjet to replace A4?

This is a scan from EVO. Do you think that this body style will replace the A4 or will Audi just add this body to its current line up? What would you think if it was a full replacement?

I'm not feeling the hatchback. I guess I like trunks on sedans.

Also in this issue of EVO - They kinda trash the Q7, but I don't think they really like any SUVs and also there is still no pricing for the new S6 with the V10 from Lambo.

I dont think it will replace the A4. Most Americans dont care for hatchbacks, and Audi already has the A3. They would be crazy to get rid of the sedan. What would compete with the 3 series? Plus Audi is making a 2 door coupe to help in that area already. Click here

No way will that replace the A4, Audi isn't that dumb. The A4 is the companies money maker. The roadjet was just a concept

Yeah, maybe the article was refering to styling elements (grill, lights, etc.) as far as changes to look forward to on the a4.

That's probably it, but the wording did seem strange.

I think the Roadjet shape would have made for a more attractive A3. Maybe the next gen A3 will have this shape. I also agree that Audi would be crazy to use this shape for the A4, as it would result in too much overlap between the A3 and A4.

As for the 3.2 FSI producing 300 ponies and the 7 speed DSG, they belong in the A3 too!!!!

Nah they already have an A5 in the works from what i've heard. A two door A4 type coupe.

I've seen some concept photos of the A5 and it looks pretty hot. Looks like a direct competitor to G35 coupe and the like. Much better looking than the TT IMO. I hope it pops up on the production schedule in 07.
