CURIOUS CODES?
 

We took our newly acquired delight to the local Audi garage because only one key would start the engine. 'No problem', they said. 'Just drop it in and we will re-code all the keys for no charge'. Great.

In it goes and they spend three hours scratching their heads because they say the spare keys (which are the correct ones for the car) won't code. All very curious.

Has anyone any comments please.

didn't think audi had put in codes for keys until the b6's. but other than that i have never heard of this prob. sorry

GOGIRL do you live outside the USA? I think they had immolbilizers in the key fobs on B5 models.
