Default wind noise

wondering if anybody have this same problem. when all of my window is close on the highway there is a wind noise coming in from both the front windows, I checked both sides of the door and the weatherstrippings are good, is there a fix for this or is it just poor design.

On the B6's, they added like 25% more wind dampening material to the cabin, just FYI. Supposed to be better, but I have yet to ride in a B5, so I can't compare the two... That's just from Audi's website, for changes from B5 to B6...

There is a DIY fix for this. I think it's on Audiworld. I've been too lazy as of late to bother with it, but I'll look for it.

edit: I cant link directly to it, but if you go to Audiworlds tech section, look under "Misc. Topics" section, then the A4 section. It's there.

Yeah I still haven't figured out exactly how that DIY works, but if you figure it out and find it helps, let me know.

that is for the whistling that some of us get off of the mirrors. its not related to wind noise IN the cabin.

I was looking on audiworld and that was the only thing I found, I can't seem to find anything on the cabin noise.

Default RE: wind noise

So here is the high tech fix for this one. This is the same technique used at the dealership by my house. I had some wind noise from the top and back of my drivers door, if i was driving down the highway, i could pull in the top of the door and the wind noise would stop. So the dealer fix is to open the door, roll down the window, stand inside the door like you were going to get in the car, put your knee on the back of the door, and pull the top of the window frame in. No more wind noise.
