Default A4 suspension lowering ?

ello everyone.
i have a suspension lowering question for you.
i have a 2000 model A4 1.6 with 18" RS4 alloys on. as you can imagine, it needs lowering badly.
i have been offered (very cheaply) a set up which i hope someone out there can tell me if it will fit ???
the shocks are standard/factory shocks off a 2000 model 1.8t sport and the springs are g-max 40mm drop lowering springs.
so will this 1.8t gear fit on my 1.6... are the shock mountings the same ???
hope somone can help as im getting no ansewers else where.

hmmm...your in the UK right? I would check on eBay for some springs made for your vehicle. If you want a more "diverse" audi audiance. go to www.audi-sport.net they have a whole forum dedicated to your car. I will do some checking up for you. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

cheers... yeah ive posted this question twice on audisport.net, but had no real answers. i understand you guys over there dont get the 1.6 model as we do in the u.k..... i guess thats a petrol cost issue !!!
ive looked at the prices on ebay but ive just spent all my stash on 18"RS4 alloys... and with a baby on the way soon, this second hand set up off the 1.8T sport seems like a good cheap, no ear ache of the wife type of option !!!!
so any help on this matter would still be greatly appreciated !!!

thanks.

ehh you don't want to do that. Your factory shocks will wear out very soon after adding lower shocks. You'll then have to pay for labor AGAIN to replace the shocks, which will cost you more than buying sport shocks to begin with. Do youself a favor and invest in a quality suspension, you will not regret it.
