First post, hello all.

I just put down my deposit on an '07 RS4. Going with the anthracite color (I forgot the exact name of the paint - dolphin?) and black leather interior. They told me the premium package was included on the car (which I don't know for sure, but I was getting it regardless). I am supposed to be able to take delivery in July or so.

Best news... MSRP! They haven't told me exactly what that is, but I've called nearly 20 dealerships in a hundred mile radius to find one who didn't want to mark it up 5-10k. They expect low/mid 70k.

FWIW, there are only 16 slated to be shipped to Canada. If you're Canadian, expect to pay a fairly large markup.

This car has been a long time in the coming for me. I had a turbo S2000 project car a few years ago that was making 600-700 hp (before I blew up some pistons and gave up with the project :) ) - went back to a "normal" car (Nissan Murano, which is very nice, might I add), and got the bug again. This will most likely be a project car. While I hope to keep it NA for a while, I think that I'll get the FI bug again, and tinker with the idea of a blower.

Anyhow, lots more to come. Just wanted a chance to introduce myself. :)

Damn, congrats on the deposit. Can't wait to see some RS4 running around... Was there a set limit they asked for on the deposit???

They asked for $2k minimum. I had some American cash floating around that I wanted to get rid of (didn't want to exchange it with the terrible exchange rate), as I'm a semi-pro poker player.

def going to be a collectors car. i went to the audi dealership and they said they have been getting so many questions on when the RS4 will be for sale and such. they will sell fast. cant wait to c them on the road

Don't worry, once the car arrives I'll be posting all kinds of pictures (hopefully some movies of me zooming around, one of the first things on the agenda is racing a Stock C class AMG my friend has - I'm afraid I don't know which one, but it's decently quick).

Late June or early July is when I'm supposed to take delivery. It seems so long away. :(
