It loaded convenience, warm, cold packages except didnt have the sport so i am stuck with 235/50r16, I looked on tirerack and dont have a lot of choices, i was thinking about upgrading to an aftermarket wheel, any recs for a decent price, this is my third car. Or should i just stick with the 16s and find a better tire than the all season dunlops.

I have Dunlop Winter Sport M3's on my A6, I think they'll climb a tree if asked to. 205/55/VR16 from tirerack, better rating than all of the Blizzaks which I think are too soft and marshmallowey anyways. The M3's are V rated (149 mph) and have torn through the couple snows we've had already but are solid in regular conditions. Totally recommend, I'm in CT and OH & New England share the same winter nuttiness. They were $105 each which is really competitive for a specialty tire. Jim

Winter.... I'm in Minnesota. Enough said. I just got done buying winter tires for both my cars. I put Dunlops on my 01 Passat Wagon GLX 4motion. (Have 17" Borbet's w/ Pirelli's in the summer) I put Dunlops on my stock 16" VW rims - they are awesome and well worth the price (I paid less than $100/per tire). My local Tires Plus store matched Tire Racks prices. Awesome tires.
I also just put 225/45R17 MZ-01 Blizzaks on a set of stock S4 Avus rims on my '01 2.7T (17" RC rims with Continentals for summer fun). These are great tires as well. I bought the S4 rims for $300 from a buddy and bought the Blizzaks off of another Audi head who only used the blizzaks for about 1K miles, for $300.
I love both Dunlops and Blizzaks - I'd say you can't go wrong with either.

i wanted an all season tire and tirerack only has the dunlop 5000 in the 235/50-r16, very odd size.
