Why do 3.0 AWDs get dual exhaust? FWD don't

Is it because it doesn't physically fit on a FWD car? If it would fit, can I use an exhaust from a doner 3.0 quattro and put it on my FWD car?

Audi does not make a 3.0 FWD. The 3.0 is a V6 so a true dual is possible unlike with the 1.8t.
