View Full Version : Pretty happy with these pix of my A6
audiSean 04-24-2006, 11:34 PM In case you all don't make it over to AudiWorld.com, I just mounted up my lastest set of wheels, Moven SP-10 [35mm offset, 18x8.5] along with a set of S6 door blades (courtesy of Boston Driver). Not bad, eh? :)

cary12 04-25-2006, 12:28 AM Looks great! Where did you get the tail lights at? I like the smoked look on the darker cars.
audiSean 04-25-2006, 01:33 AM The taillights were the best deal yet... they were FREE! They're Hella smoked taillights from an ex-C5 owner in Rhode Island who needed to sell his car. Well, the Hellas are not DOT approved, so he didn't think he could sell that car that way because it wouldn't pass inspection, so he asked on AudiWorld.com if anyone would trade OEM taillights for his set of smoked Hellas. I was the first to respond.
It was a 30 minute drive from my home and we traded taillights in his driveway.
I've seen the Hellas advertised on eBay and various Audi/VW sites on the 'net. I believe the retail on them is something around $280. Someone recently posted a set of LED taillights for a C5 in the AudiWorld classifieds (under "Exterior") for $150. That's a deal, considering they're $300 from Germany.
cnelson81 04-25-2006, 04:48 AM link to that post please ? :P
cnelson81 04-25-2006, 04:59 AM found it, hope he didnt sell them yet... :)
slee22 04-25-2006, 01:27 PM Your ride looks sick...those are my favorite style of rims. The door blades really set it off too[sm=smiley20.gif]
audiSean 04-25-2006, 06:03 PM thanks!
PJTocci 04-28-2006, 08:26 AM I really think thats the nicest A6 I've ever seen.
audiSean 04-28-2006, 01:43 PM Wow! Thanks. That's high praise and I appreciate it.
DJ_JonnyV 04-29-2006, 01:21 AM Dude, you've been prancing those pics all over the net!!! You're definitely getting some mileage out of them. Good pics, BTW.
abkyl 04-29-2006, 01:40 AM not bad not bad.. good combo with the wheels and door blades.. i am looking for exhaust for my 2000 2.7T.. have any suggestions??
audiSean 04-29-2006, 02:06 AM Exhaust? I'd go straight to MTM, but that's just me. Other folks are happy with Borlas.

:D YES, I HAVE!! LOL! I've had the A6 for 4 years and other than my audiMorning shot, these are the best I've been able to do... so I'm using them!

BadLuckAudi 04-29-2006, 08:49 AM looks really good man
paulhiggs 05-13-2006, 11:47 AM Great looking A6. I was at the local dealership asking about door blades and can get the set of 4 for $350. The parts guy also said I may need the "rocker" exterior trim that goes under both doors. Do you have that on your car?
Paul
audiSean 05-13-2006, 05:15 PM Thanks!
I do not have any additional rocker trim below the door blades. I simply installed the 4 S6 door blades in place of the original door blades. One tip though, expect that the screws holding the door bladed in place will sheer off at the head. You'd be smart to remove one screw and then go to the local hardware store to pick up 8 stainless steel screws of the same size.
paulhiggs 05-13-2006, 06:01 PM Thanks. That looks like my mission for next week.
Did you ever think of installing a tunk lid spoiler? I like the way it sharpens up the back of the A6
audiSean 05-14-2006, 05:35 PM Yes, I've thought about adding a spoiler and debadging, but I just haven't gotten around to do it. To be honest, I'm not sure how much longer I plan to keep the A6; I've owned it for 4 years now and I'm getting an itch for something different. Nothing against the car itself, it's great, but you know how it goes.
Propagandalf 05-15-2006, 02:03 AM Very nice. Where did you get the rims? I am having a hard time finding decent looking rims for mine....
audiSean 05-15-2006, 03:07 AM I actually bought them used from a local guy. I believe Spy Engineering sells them for $229/ea.

turbosteve 05-16-2006, 09:52 PM Great looking wheels/tires. Which size tires did you use? Is the car lowered - if so which kit? Thanks a bunch!
audiSean 05-16-2006, 10:03 PM Yes, the A6 is lowered with Eibach Pro-Kit springs and a combination of Bilstein A6 sport shocks in the rear and B5 S4 Bilstein shocks up front. I forget the exact drop but I think it was somewhere around 1.25" front and 1" rear.
The wheels are 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset and the tires are Falken ZX-512s, 235/40/18. The ZX-512s are a bit narrow, which I think helps me out a bit because I don't have any rubbing issues.
Mott Power 05-16-2006, 10:08 PM very nice, koodos
