Default low profile tire problems?

So I bought my new 05 A4 1.8t Q last night, and they wanted to sell me on a tire and wheel protection program. So basically, they're telling me how weak the 18" rims and tires are, and how easy it is to get impact bubbles or crack the $800 rim, none of which is covered by warranty of course. I'm very resistive to things like this, and I've had 16" low profiles on my mazda for over 3 years without incident on the same roads, so I was just wondering if Audi wheels and tires are really so weak that I need to add $10/mo to my lease payment for this. I'm a pretty cautious driver, esp. with a $38k car, should I be going back for this, or is it an unlikely problem?

...and I know how you guys like photos

Default RE: low profile tire problems?

I'd say you'll probably be ok. You can always just buy a replica wheel for like 200 bucks if anything happens anyway.
