Any assumptions what an RS4 with re-mapped software is gonna produce? I have heard the gains for the 2.0T w/ APR have been significant. I think this car has lots of potential for increased power. More so than the next gen M3.

I'll bite.

the reason the 2.0t has scene such huge gains is the 2.0t is a turbo car. the new rs4 is not turbo. It is a NA motor. There is no way to get more power out of it with out advancing the timing. In doing that if you can the only gains would likely be 5-8 hp. versus increasing the psi boost levels on a turbo where you could see boost gains as much as 40 hp.

oh wait, now i remember, audi forums, no one had answered your questions about the rs4 witch chip. I did not mean to come off harsh mate. I was trying to explain that like the new s4 the new rs4 is a natrually aspirated car. This means any gains are gained solely by advancing the timing. which is usually a max of 5-8 hp as seen with the 2.8,3.0 s4 (4.2) chips. while turbo cars can have the boost spooled up. This allows them to go from a flat 7 psi to up to 25 psi, showing significant gains anywhere from 30-50 bhp.
