I have a 96 A6 wagon. I have looked for it but still can not find it? The dealer said it was under the cowlling cover, but all I see is a big blower and air box. I tried to follow the + lead from the remote jumper terminal but it looks to disapear around the fire wall. its one of those things I like to know where to find it.

In my C4 sedan ('92 100, same chassis as your '96 Avant) the battery was under the rear seat. I'm guessing you don't have an owner's manual, correct? Not a bad thing to have, really.
