Hi all. I am new to the forum and in need of guidance. I Purchused 1997 A8 with 130,000 miles on it. The car runs great. It has a new tranny and the timing belt was changed 5000 miles ago. I have big plans for this car. You know the usual... coilovers, rims, and performance chip. However, I heard that the tranny in my car can be modified or converted to a TIP tranny. Is this true, and what does this modification intel? Most of all COST. Thanks in advance for any info you guys can provide.

You can sometimes find one on ebay. YOu might want to try posting on Audiworld, I think someone had an extra they were trying to sell a while back.

Tonypai.... You are a gentleman and a scholar. Thanks soooo much for the link. I really apreciate it. Now to complicate things alittle more. How about steering wheel shift buttons? Can I just use a steering wheel from a later model that has that option? Once again, Thanks in advance.
