Very informative. Seems like all the reviews I have read are the same...nothing bad to say accept for the cost. Aside from that its all true & accurate, thanks for the thread 99a4audi.

I will have some footage posted by the end of the week...don't worry. I wish I had a digital video camera for quality and length purposes but I guess my video phone will have to do. 7 days (tops) and counting till the post. Would you guys like to see side shreets, cornering or freeway footage? Please pick one.

that interior looks different. the pics i saw before had a sweet steering wheel that had a flat steel bottom. did they do away with that for production??

No it's still in production, but only for Europe. Apparently us Yanks aren't good enough for that nifty wheel or those bombass seats.

that sucks dude. it looks good now, but i thought the steering wheel and overall interior look really set it apart.

Yep diff steering wheel & seats than the europen style. The seats that come with the US model are not that bad though. Granted they dont have the high sholder bolsters and auto tightning side bolsters. They do have the following...Airbag ( which is why they were changed), fully auto where as the euro version is all is manual, heated seats, active head restraint etc.... I like the euro version a lot but, I would actually rather have the US version. Considering how much I paid for the car I want it to have all the bells and whistles...especially the safety aspect if I get broad sidded by some dumba**.
I do wish the steering wheel would have come with a falt bottom covered with carbon fiber. I do like the fact that I have cup holders instead of a waste of space engine start button.

And this won't matter to everyone, but the US version also gets side airbags in the rear which isn't available on the Euro version.

Audi salesman told me last week that the steering wheel with the flat bottom would be on all S models in 2007. I do't know if he's right, but I hope he is.

The rear side airbags are a special order item. I did not order mine with any. Just making sure everyone knows they aren't standard. I also hope the steering wheel comes on future models.
