Is there a fuel filter with the pump in the tank? Also what metal parts are on plastic gas tank?

the fuel filter is not on the gas tank .... about the plastic and metal in the gas tank ... please elaborate )

metal part on tank sounds like where the sump pump and sock filter sit in the tank, the main pump im sure is on the underside of the car near the tank

Depends on the model! On the 5000/100/200 models the fuel pump sits inside the tank and has fine mesh prescreen filter.
