Default Bad noises - please help

Hi,

I have a 2003 Audi A2 1.6 FSI. Have had so many problems, am not going to go through them all here, but really could do with some help on this one...

The latest problem is a noise when going over bumps, as if the front tyres are flat - but they're not, they're fully pumped. Sounds quite scarry but really can't afford the time off ot go get it checked and the cost of getting it changed. Any ideas of what it might be would be highly appreciated. Sounds like something suspension related, but could be a loose caliper or something I guess too. Dont know where to start looking.

Besides, Audi service is utterly useless. 6 months after buying the car, they diagnosed a problem with something to do with the driveshaft. Then they were taken over by HR Owen and supposedly lost all record of it. After many services since, the issue has never been found again and they refuse to believe it ever happened. Now it's out of warranty, coils went a month agon, I think the spark plugs need replacing and then there's this new noise issue.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks,
Rowland

If what you're hearing could be described as a "clunking" sound, you may want to have your control arms checked. They eventually wear out on A6es.
