Should have asked this a few weeks ago but just now got around to it. *I was wondering how many miles were on all current RS4 owners cars when they drove it off the lot? Much appreciated!

Bepesch sounds like you lucked out. I am gonna wait until I hear a few more replies before I say how many mine had. However, I do feel a little better knowing I am not the only one who had more than 20. Thanks for the input guys!

This is true but, when I pay almost 80k for anything (especially a car) I expect it to have the same amount of miles as any other new car on the lot. Anything over 10-15 is too much. I'm not crying and it obviously didn't affect me buying the car...I just want to know if I was di**ed w/ and warn future RS buyers to keep an eye out. If you were expecting less than 15 and yours came "brand new" w/ more than 40, wouldn't you at least question the validity of care? If your smart you would, o'well, question still remains FOR RS4 OWNERS!

Mine had 75. However you should know that many RS4s are driven at the factory by RS techs. The PDI doc shows that my car had 45 miles on it when delivered at port, and then the RS techs at my dealer did about a 15 mile drive as many dealers require. The rest were test drives.

At first I was concerned about this, however many assured me on AW and RS6.com that this was normal. By comparison my S4 had 21 miles.

They allowed test drives on this thing... w/out a deposit??? Thats nuts! I need to tell that to "99a4audi"...he wanted to test drive one but thought he might not be able too? I feel much better now knowing that the 50 miles I had on mine was topped by your 75 T.S.! I understand the whole PDI process and maybe an additional 8-10 miles from the factory but, that still leaves roughly 25 unanswered miles on my vehicle. O'well, no big deal, just wanted to ask everyone. Please feel free-all other RS4 owners-to give us your $0.02/mileage on this issue.

I freaked out about this at first, but my mind was put to ease by a lot of folks over at RS6.com in the RS4 section, and of course at AW.com.. I think whether you can test drive depends on the dealer. If you bought something like an S4 from them in the past, and they know you're serious, I imagine you just have to push a little harder for them and they will let you. Some dealers won't let you.

Also, a lot of people may have an order in on one, but they only have one on the lot that is not selling, so they might let people who have orders test drive that one car.

In the end you also have to think that most dealers don't let people take these cars on the highway, and many dealers are not even near a highway, or at least one that doesn't have traffic. So its highly unlikely these cars were abused at all, I just wouldn't worry about it. You'd have to have the same idiot driving it really hard for many miles for it to matter.
