Just brought home my first Audi, 2001 A6 2.7T manual. Amazing car and sooo fast. I tested a 225 TT manual and a TIP S4 of same year, the A6 was the fastest so that's what came home. The dealership has agreed to change out a couple wheels that were curbed (18" BBS) and realigning is also gonna be done at same visit. I noticed last night while parking that if I turn the wheels all the way to either left or right, at stand still I get a low level high pitch squeal. Not very noticeable unless I have the windows down. I told them about this already and they said they'd take care of it. Anyone know what this could be??? Just so I have an idea before going in.

Oh yeah, best part is that the ride only has 28K miles, picked it up for $24K. So it's still under factory for another 7 months, at which time a 5 year 60K extended will kick in.

Any other problems with this year and model I should be on the lookout for???

thanks and glad to be here.

Hey, Fagundes, very sweet ride. But how much is the dealer paying you to ruin the look of the front w/his gaudy tag? Just curious, because I'm guessing you wouldn't have any other reason to keep it there when you were spending your time taking those excellent photos.

You have a very nice car there.....I too am at least entertaining the idea of purchasing one of these cars....I am so typically a honda man though, and have never swayed to any other manufacturer.....have you encountered any problems at all with your vehicle?
I most likely will be making a purchase this summer....keep me posted with what you find out.....btw you should be a photographer!!a

Nice ride, going to pick mine up in the next couple of weeks. back to your question, the high pick squeel. first thing, real easy check the power stearing fluid, i know it sounds idiotic but you wouldnt believe how many times ive seen it done, another thing if the car was wet at all in the last couple of days, when the wheels are cocked it puts strain on the power stearing pump/pully and can cause the belt to slip, more so when its wet. but as far as things like that go look at the stupid things first, it sucks ripping apart a door panel only to find a blown fuse. know what i mean? hope this helped.
