Trev -> R8 w/ possible RS4 components (7/29/2006 3:10:55 PM)

-I just saw a sneek peak of the new R8 coming out next Spring and almost shat myself! There is a video feed on "Auto Express" of the V10 model going around the track @ nuerenburg and it looks/sounds wicked!
-I did read though that a cheaper model is going to come out to in order to move the product faster. There will be a 5.0L V10 w/ around 450-500hp and the cheaper model (only difference is the engine) will have the RS4 engine BUT it will be Twin Turbo!!! The V10 would be awesome, however, trying to imagine the engine in my RS on a lighter car w/ Twin Turbos attached is sick! Not to mention the RS engine will be housed mid-engine (rear) w/ plexi glass to view at all times.[image][/image] Just thought I would share that with the group. Check it out if you haven't yet.
