Default 2006 A6 Avant won't start in a hot day

Hello I’m a newbie that is experiencing problems with my 2006 A6 Avant vehicle (less that 3 weeks old). I have to issue that I will appreciate some feedback.

1- When the car has been parked in outside in a very hot day (>100) it won’t start by pushing the start button (Smart Key on my pocket)
I need to insert the key into the ignition and it works.

2- The seat memory does not get stored on my key. My wife key works fine meaning, as she open the door the seat and other setting adjust to what she previously stored.

I’m planning to take it back to the dealer and have them check this two issue out, but I would like to have more information from anyone here that may help me to solve my problem.

Thank you
Roberto.

An 06 less than three weeks old, Your dam right you should take it back. Sometimes there are problems that no one has yet come across and this sounds like one of them. Just hope that they find out whats wrong and don't give you a run around.

Theres an update for the smart key. As for the memory seats, they can be kinda finicky to programming. Especially if you and your wife are in the car at the same time with both keys. They will program themselves to whatever key they see last. There is an option to disable this feature in the mmi.
