Does anyone happen to know the oil pressure of the 5000CS turbo engine? I'm using the K26 turbo from a 5000CS and I'm wondering what the pressure is to see if I need to adjust it on my car. Both K26 turbos I've had smoke at idle and I'm starting to think my oil pressure to the turbo is too high.

most likly you have bad seals there. at idle if smoking there is negative presure in the air system after turbo. If turbo is old and seals are bad no matter what the presure is of the oil, it will be leaking.
another thing which is less likly be is that the drain tube is instaled wrong or cloged.

Hook up a 270° sweep mechanical pressure gauge, the factory gauges are not very accurate and with time get even worse.

Well, I'm running this turbo on a Saturn. Only at idle before the car is warmed up will it smoke a bit. After I get it hot, it doesn't smoke at all while I'm driving nor will it smoke at idle once it's hot. I was just thinking that maybe I'm putting too much oil pressure into it. The drain hose is not a problem in my case. I know the seals are not in perfect condition as this thing is quite old, but I didn't know if there was a specific oil pressure that this turbo required.
