Default How does the turbo work?

Hi everyone,

Very new to the Audi and when I bought mine I was getting 16 pounds of boost. Now I get about 7 pounds and the turbo is heating up very badly.

How is it cooled? It does have an intercooler but does it get the water from the radiator? Is there something else I need to check?

Please help....I do not want to drive it anymore until it is fixed.

Here is a pic.

Default RE: How does the turbo work?

dude chill, most likly you have a leak. Becouse of that your Turbo's wastegate cannot operate properly. basically, car thinks that its fine, so it doesnt limit the speed of the turbo.
any ways, check for leaks after the turbo to the Intercooler. and from intercooler to the throtle body. Also check small hoses as well that go out from them on the way. The air hoses.
Also you can PM or AIM me but dont bug me too much, usually I watch Star trek or Futurama, so in comercials I can type

PS. Turbos main cooling is the oil. So dont turn off your car after a serious drive.

PSS. Car looks awsome, How much one of these.
