Default APR vs. Neuspeed and others

I am about to buy a 2001 1.8T A4 and will upgrade the engine ecu. What brand is the most sorted out? I am looking for driving fun with reliability. Also: when I chip the car, what other upgrades are a must: turbo diverter, downpipe or whole exhaust? Thanks! I've owned a VW 1.8T in a 2002 VW GTI, but this will be my first Audi- can't wait!

I would go with APR because I am going to get one and GIAC doesn't exactally say what you will get and I need to know in order for me to spend $400.

I would only choose between GIAC, APR or REVO because i dont know much about the others
