Default 1999 A4 2.8 turbo kit?

IS there any available turbo kit or seperate parts like turbo manifolds, etc. available for the 2.8 motor? Or could I use parts from the 2.7t out of the a6? Any help is greatly appreciated.

no turbo kits, cant use 2.7t parts

only hope for a 2.8 is the pes-tuning.com supercharger, but thats only for the 30v...

that or you could do all this custom work to get turbos in there, but its not worth the $10K+ its gonna cost ya

Should I stick with the 1.8 then? I am trying to decide which one to buy and I figured buy the 2.8 for more power but the 1.8t seems to have more mods so will that be my best bet?

Get the 1.8. It has way more tuner potential. The 5-7 grand it'll cost you to get a 2.8 up to 280hp just to hit a wall isn't worth it. With a 1.8 that money will get you over 350whp and more room for improvement.

Don't turbo a 2.8 you'll blow the motor the compression ratio is to high
Dude dont scare people like that. 10.3 compresion ration can support about 8 psi of boost without Intercooling. That ends up to 280HP. With intercooling you can do 350HP without rebuilding the engine and lowering the compresion ratio.

If to use alternative fuel like propane or methane. You can do 10-15psi without intercooling and you get like 380HP (estimate)

While regular gas can support up to 11:1 comp ratio
propane can do 14:1
methane can do 18:1
WITHOUT BLOWING UP

So please, to blow an engine you need a lot of stuff.

True at this low preseure ratio turbos efficiency is quite low, but its still duable and in my opinion worth it. Ether Turbo or SC can provode ass whooping results on Audi. If you look at 1.8 power graph and a V6 power graph. You will see that V6 has a flat spot of TQ while 1.8 rises and fall. On 1.8 when you upgrade you get a less of a hill and more like flat on V6 which is nice in matter of power. on V6 when you turbo or SC you basically lift they flat spot up. Which is easier that on 1.8.

So basically there is good and bad stuff in both casses. I can type about it for hours, but I wana go to the bathroom very badly. See ya.........
