Default Wheel spacers

I was thinking of getting wheel spacers for my 2000 A6 4.2, I know I'll definately get the rears but idk about the fronts... There's a gap of about 1cm (10mm) between the outside edge of the tire and the fender, so should I get 15mm spacers to make the wheels "stick out" farther? How about the fronts, should I or can I do anything as far as spacers go without the possibility of rubbing?

Default RE: Wheel spacers

These are 17 x 8... they suck I hate the design... I'm not changing the wheels because I'm getting a new ride around May/June. This will go to my mom, so I just wanted to make it more aggressive looking, adding spacers would definately do that.

As far as straining the wheel bearings, it wouldn't be a problem, just have to get longer lug bolts and make sure to they can go 6 full turns (2160 deg), that's according to achtuning.com
