Default 2002 3.0 A6 coils failed 4xs, Anyone else?

Hi
Has anyone else had multiple occurances with coils failing?. Ours have gone out 4 times in remote places and has caused us all sort of aggravation and being towed for long distances. We spent more time of our vacations in Montana befriending the Audi Dealer in Bozeman than we did skiing. My husband swore that we would never buy another Audi (it was our 5th one). After car shopping recently, we did come home with our sixth one, an Allroad because it has a different engine and coil design. But I am curious, is this problem typical to our car alone

If your talking ignition coils, theyre arent really all that reliable on the 3 litlre and the 1.8t. The v8 and the other v6's are far more reliable as far as that goes. If your talking suspension coils ive never seen one go out. The allroad however has air springs which are more prone to failure.
