Rev counter on a 93 audi coupe 2.0E
 

Just bought a 2.0E coupe to run around in while I have some work done on my S2,

the rev counter is not working, where does the rev counter pic up its signal from? what should i be checking?

particulary, in your car is controlled from the ECU. but, on many other cars, it is controlled from the destributer. So most likely that the tach is broken.
