im sure this has been covered many times but, i was wondering if i just got some h&r springs for my b5 2.8 a4 could i use the shocks off of a sports package a4?

Why would you bother? Shocks are the suspension component most prone to wear -- not a good thing to buy used unless they really are pretty new.

the regular springs should be fine. from what i hear the sport springs and the sport H&R's are pretty simlier.
the race springs will lower your car but probably will not be too good for the sport shocks. i have heard of some people blowing the shocks because they are not made or meant for those types of springs.
