On my 1993 Audi 90s, automatic transmission jerks sometimes, when the gears switch. Could it be the time to change my transmission fluid or something more seriouse? The car has 137500 Miles or 220000 Km

Same here, I was told its okey. when I go into 3rd its okey, when I go into 4th its jerks couse the engine has to match the tranny speed. like droping a clutch, but I adapted, so when I accelerate I keep in 3rd then depress accelerator and put in D that way engine already lower that tranny and many times no jerking what so ever.

its an automatic use it in D only that's why they are called autos the other gears only need to be used when hill climbing and towing or drag racing lol

I second that. Don't mess with it on everyday basis!

in city I leave it in 3rd gear, in D it will sometimes go into overdive as I hit 35mph.  and then slip out the gear as it hits 30mph.
this gear switching, in my opinion, is bad, couse of too many switches accures.
I use D with SPORT, which is the way i like it.
I use D only for crusing. only 45MPH and above.

for drag racing, I do SPORT, and 2nd, I keep 2nd till 75mhp, 3rd till 105mph. 4th I havent gotten the limit there yet.

All the notions are from previous car, Mazda626 2000 I4.  its usually jumped between gears like crazy.

I have a 92 100CS that hesitates between 2nd and 3rd(the revs build, then the tranny engages). It usually starts when the car warms up but not when cold. Low tranny fluid? I know I have a leak.
